Find My Sign
Your birthday is the starting point. Your birth time can make the difference on a sign-change day. Find your Sun sign, then explore what its symbolism brings to your 2027.
What this calculator tells you
“What is my zodiac sign?” usually means “What is my Sun sign?” This tool calculates the Sun’s position using the tropical zodiac, then matches it to one of the twelve signs. It uses your selected city’s time zone to interpret a local birth time.
If you do not know the time, we compare the beginning and end of your local birth date. When those positions fall in different signs, you will see both possibilities instead of a falsely precise answer. Historical clock changes and an approximate nearby city can also introduce uncertainty.
Your Sun sign is one layer of a birth chart. Read our astrology glossary to explore the Moon and rising sign, or see how the weekly forecast is calculated.
Frequently asked questions
How can I find my zodiac sign?
Enter your birth date, select your birth city and add your local birth time if you know it. The calculator uses the tropical zodiac and astronomical Sun positions, then links to your sign’s 2027 guide. Browse 2027 by Zodiac →
Can I be two zodiac signs if I was born on a cusp?
At a given instant, the Sun is in one tropical sign. If it moved between signs on your birth date and your time is unknown, the calculator shows both possible results. That uncertainty does not mean the Sun occupied two signs at once.
Is my zodiac sign the same as my rising sign?
No. A Sun sign describes the Sun’s position, while a rising sign describes the eastern horizon. Your rising sign is more sensitive to birth time and location. This tool calculates your Sun sign. Learn about the Ascendant →
Why does a Vedic astrology calculator give me a different sign?
This site uses the tropical zodiac, anchored to the seasons. Many Vedic systems use a sidereal zodiac with a different reference point. The same birth details can therefore produce different sign labels. See our zodiac system →
